Raglan From The Neck Down
6 classes, 3 hrs. each – 18 hours total · $180
(project materials not included)
Experience level: Advanced Beginner
Class Description: We will be making our own pattern, starting with our head
measurement. You will learn to do your own pattern, calculate stitches and rows needed, take
measurements, provisional cast on, increases, centering stitch patterns along raglan line and
garment, if you choose to do a stitch pattern and invisible cast off.
Supplies & Homework:
· Yarn can be your choice. Its better to learn on smoother, medium-to-lighter color yarn. I would like
you to be able to see your stitches. Do not use a lumpy, bumpy novelty yarn at this time.
Bring note paper, pencil, tape measure, locking
ring markers, crochet hook, (appropriate to size yarn you are
using) knitting needles, sweater yarn, and a few yards of a
smooth cotton white or natural colored waste yarn.
· Bring your stockinette swatch measuring approximately 5” x 5”. (or larger).
Gauge swatch must be done before class. Note down how many stitches and rows you get to the inch before
washing and after washing swatch. Wear clothes that are comfortable so we can easily take body measurements.
